Welcome to Black Line Stables, home of gentle, Registered American Quarter Horses.  Black Line Stables operates a low-volume breeding program that allows us to have a hands-on approach with our breeding stock and foals.  Our emphasis from the beginning has been to produce foals with solid pedigrees, sound conformation, and exceptional disposition with a bit of color and chrome thrown in for good measure. 

We started with good mares from strong working bloodlines and have continually upgraded.  We currently have mares with Two Eyed Jack, Doc’s Lynx, Mr Gun Smoke, Shining Spark, High Brow Hickory, Freckles Playboy, Peppy San Badger, Doc Olena, Doc Bar, Cutter Bill, and King (yes, King P234) ON THEIR PAPERS. 

We added a new stallion, Playboys Hotrod, a points and money earning own son of Freckles Playboy to our herd in 2012.  Hotrod’s great grand sires are Sugar Bars, Rey Jay, Doc Bar, and King Billy.    He is currently producing foals for us as well as standing for a limited number of outside mares.
